One 8 week-long class, one tiny bench in the basement, and a love for turquoise is where it all began...

I came to a cross-roads in my career of Quality Control, this was when the seed was planted for Cabin Creek.  My name is Jessica, I am the owner, operator, designer and fabricator behind Cabin Creek.  I respectfully stepped away from my job in regulatory compliance and immediately enrolled in a 8 week metalsmithing course.

At the end of my course I knew I HAD to make jewelry; I hit the ground running.  My love for handmade jewelry began when I was a little girl, I had a Grandmother who was an insanely good metalsmith and the quality of her work allows me to wear her pieces today.  That is my goal for the jewelry pieces I create, that one generation can pass it on to the next.

The style of Cabin Creek Jewelry is not definable, I feel like it's a little bit bohemian, a bit of gypsy and a whole lot of country.  My main inspiration is the design and techniques of the Native Americans, a true talent that is unmatched in my opinion.  Of course this leads directly into my complete obsession with turquoise.  Turquoise and silver is a match made in heaven.

Two things Cabin Creek will never compromise is quality and honesty.  What you believe you are ordering is exactly what you will receive.  I only use precious metals, if I use a different material in the future then I will list that accordingly.  Same goes for gemstones, if the product says "real turquoise", then you will be receiving real turquoise.

I thank all who are visiting and cherish those who are wearing Cabin Creek Jewelry and someday I hope to be making jewelry by hand in a cabin next to a creek.
